Jennifer graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisville, Kentucky. She specializes in school-based psychotherapy with children and adolescents, as well as licensing exam coaching and preparation.

Course Description:

This CE course provides an overview of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in Adults, including information on the diagnosis, identification, conceptualization, and treatment of ADHD in adult populations. This course will also cover the history of ADHD in adult populations, the prevalence of diagnosis across demographic groups, common misconceptions about ADHD in adults, co-occurring diagnoses, ADHD and neurodiversity, and ethical considerations for treating ADHD in adult populations.

 

Learning Objectives:

 

1. Define 5 diagnostic characteristics of adult ADHD.

2. Identify 5 symptoms of inattention and 5 symptoms of hyperactivity-impulsivity.

3. Identify 3 mental diagnoses that commonly co-occur with ADHD.

4. Design 3 intervention strategies for supporting clients with ADHD.

 

Course Completion Requirements:

Attendees must be present for the duration of the training as evidenced by the attendance report generated by Zoom, as well as complete the course evaluation to receive a certificate of credit.

How certificate is issued:
